Is this a good combo for the $$ ???

OK..


I am looking to upgrade my AMD Athlon 2500+ w/ a Giga-Byte MoBo, and a 256mb Sapphire Ati Card....





Here are the following items I am looking into:





AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+


ASUS M2N4-SLI Socket AM2 w/ Nforce4 SLI MoBo


Corsair XMS2 1G (2x512Mb) Dual Channel Memory


Sapphire 100142L Radeon X1300 512Mb V/C





All of this will go into my current ATX case, with a 300 Watt P/S





what do you all think ?? I only have around $400 to play with AND most importantly..I am NOT a gamer...That's what my PS2 is for !! :)

Not at all bad for a $400 rig.
Reply:looks good but if running dual core and a 512 video card. thern i would go no lower than a 500w power supply
Reply:If you can get that for $400, go for it!! you got yourself a bargain there! If, you need to cut back a little, consider a smaller graphics card, you don't need a huge graphics card if you're not gaming
