E-mail me.

UPDATE 2:

GREAT JOB! Now that we have the VIA drivers downloaded and installed, we must make sure about your Award BIOS version. Here are 2 links to the Award BIOS screen shots. Choose the one that looks exactly like yours.

Which one is exactly like the first screen in your BIOS? #1 or #2 ??

ORIGINAL ANSWER TEXT %26lt;--

I will answer the question and help you solve the problem. To make it clear, you are telling me that you have installed the ATI/AGP and it will not detect, but a scan tells you that your graphics display is SIS - if I am correct so far then continue reading.

Step 1. Download the newest VIA chipset drivers for your motherboard, the one we want the most is the VIA AGP driver. Install the drivers and then shut down.

Step 2. p and enter you system BIOS configuration by pressing the DEL key just after the BEEP. A message may tell you to press the F! or another to enter the BIOS, use the key it displays instead of the DEL.

Step 3. Change your BIOS settings: I am going to tell you what to change and you must find these settings. They exist because you have onboard display!

1st find the page listing your Onboard Devices.

2nd Disable the Onboard Display Adapter no matter what is listed, DISABLE IT! Leave the network, modem and sound enabled.

3rd. Find the page that lists the option "Primary Display Device" which will list 2 or 3 items.

4th. Select AGP as the Primary and make sure "Onboard Display" is not active anywhere in the BIOS. Your done in the BIOS, Go to the EXIT AND SAVE SETTINGS, let the system reboot and immediately turn it off.

Step 4. Open the case and make sure you have the ATI installed in the AGP slot and the AGP card clip-lock is closed. Make double sure the card is in perfectly, no forcing it in and the screw down should not bend the metal header. Close the case %26amp; plug your monitor into the ATI.

Step 5. Boot your system and the monitor should be working. (If it is not, shut down immediately and check the AGP voltage your motherboard supplies to this slot and compare th the AGP voltage listed on the ATI user manual) Once in Windows the disply will be crappy at first. You should see the "FOUND NEW HARDWARE" message and then it will ask for the location of the drivers. Click CANCEL and the system will load the default VGA drivers limiting you to 640 x 480 / 16 colors.

Step 6. Inset the ATI CD and it should autorun, agree to the installation of the ATI software and drivers. It will ask you to reboot when it is done. When you reboot and get back to Windows it should look a lot better, or it will display the "NEW HARDWARE FOUND" message and then install the drivers automatically. Agree with any prompts and it may ask you to restart again. This is the last step and if all goes well you will be done.

Good Luck my friend, I hope this helps you get right.: If I have the story wrong feel free to let me know what and I will update these instructions for you. E-mail if necessary.OK My friend,

PS, Your motherboard should be fully compatible!
